Biography
Jo started her career in IT working with AT&T on the Rover BMW support contract, initially working to migrate a 20,000 user and device estate from Windows NT 4.0 to Windows 2000. This provided a solid foundation of understanding and being able to troubleshoot all server roles and networking.
Joanne went on to complete an MCSE in NT 4.0 and 2000 and then was offered a position as a trainer. Joanne's desire to understand a concept from the ground up helped her become a highly rated trainer and training is what Joanne loves most.
Joanne has followed a natural technical progression through the Microsoft server and workstation operating systems, adding in Azure Cloud, Azure Identity, and Intune alongside a progression taking responsibilty for a product and looking for gaps in the training market relating to the products she specialises in. Joanne has written courses for Window Active Directory, Certificate Services and Windows client.
Intune is a big part of her delivery portfolio, as is Entra ID.
More recently Joanne was asked to assist in a large project delivering Excel training and has thoroughly enjoyed adding this to her portfolio - it is a very different type of delivery and feels she has become a more rounded trainer as a result of it. She delivers from Essentials up to Advanced Excel training.
